Change background colours and size

Hi,

First of all, I really like this theme. I love the simplicity and sleekness. It is perfect for my purpose, which is displaying a great amount of photos. I’ve already made a few changes, like removing the hover-effect and some of the meta-data like tags and dates (you can check https://StockyPics.com to see the changes).

Though, I’ve encountered an obstacle, there doesn’t seem to be an option to change the colour of the background. In the current state, the bottom of the page looks quite dark. Is there a way I can change this grey colour?

Also, is there a way to use a bigger sized photo that runs to the bottom of the page? Now the used photo fades rather quickly, I would like to use a slightly taller photo.
