I have dug around by looking at css files in my blog, I probably missed it. I did look at a number of css files inside my wordpress install.

I want to highlight days of the month that have posts. Leaving the rest of the days, without posts, not highlighted.

As it is now, a reader has to mouse over the calendar to see if there was a post on a particular day for the current month.

I am using the sidebar widget calendar with Tarski 1.7.1 in WP 2.3

    my site

I’m not very good at css, but I did search for ‘calendar’ in the files.

    Thank you for your help.

yes, I did check style.css and widgets.css, nothing in there that would tell me how to highlight or underline calendar entries with one or more posts. I compared them to themes that do change the color of the date with a post and inserts a link to the post page. I don’t see how it places the underline and links to the post entry.

Actually, there is no calendar styling in your stylesheet. Check out some other themes; even classic and default have calendar styling.

I swapped out several themes to see how they showed days with posts.

That is where I got the info above from.

I copied and pasted the style.css part for the calendar from another theme into the tarski style.css and I didn’t see a change. So there has to be something else going on I cannot figure out.

edit: if I could figure out where to put the text decoration as type underline for dates with posts. That would do what I need.

I mananged to get it to underline the days of the week, so its in there somewhere.

Even your calendar has a link on the day that has a post – but the colour of the links in your theme is not so different from the rest of the text, that’s why you don’t see it. Take a closer look at Nov 4 = it is blue!

Need my reading glasses, but I can see it. An underline would be more obvious and helpful for those of us with older eyes.

Add this to the calendar section of your stylesheet:

    #wp-calendar a {text-decoration: underline;}

I added that line to the Traski style css and it works.

    No calendar section in there.

I’ll look for a better place for it in there than the one I picked.

I have looked at other themes, bur Tarski is the only one I looked at, and I looked at most of the 2.3 compat ones, that doesn’t cover up some of the wide pngs I have.

    Thank you.
