• I am using the theme Imperial. It was offered as Freebee by themeforest.
I was facing few issues and tried contacting the theme develeoper, but they informed that as it was offered free, so no support.
In the theme there is a Project section (under home page section below the form)
I need help in changing the Project category. The addon is WP-Bakery’s Work-in-Progress)
    Please suggest the solution

Unfortunately, we don’t have access to this “Imperial” theme at all, so we have no way of knowing how the theme’s “Projects” work and how to help you.

You may be better off switching to one of the thousands of free and well-supported themes available at www.ads-software.com/themes.

    Good luck!

Not knowing anything about your theme, this is all conjecture. Content in any given section is commonly done by query. There is often some way in the back end to specify what category should be used in the query. In some cases you could instead arbitrarily alter the post’s assigned category to comply with the section requirements. Since the category often does not display in the section, there may not be any ill effect here. However, assigned categories may appear on other pages so this may not be a feasible approach.

You can also alter the query criteria through the “pre_get_posts” action hook. The problem here is correctly applying the alteration for the correct query without adversely affecting other queries. It may take some creative coding to accomplish this.

While I cannot offer specific advice, I hope these suggestions trigger some line of thinking towards a solution.
