    Hi,

    in this example:

    category = pets

    So posts i.e. have URL: /pets/catfood.html

    This is good as is.

    Now breadcrumb gives me SITE > PETS > CATFOOD
    and when i click on “PETS” i get linked to the category page /category/pets/

    Here comes my problem. I want it to link to /whatever/page.html and NOT on /category/pets/

    I know i can remove /category/ from URL, but that still leaves /pets/ – which i need to have completely free designed.

    I don’t want 301/302 redirects implemented, i want wordpress to really change the link in the sourcecode.

    Thanks for your help.

    schnorz.

    Probably not the answer you want but; Why would you want to do that?

    If I’m a user of your website and visiting the dogs page on yoursite.com/pets/dogs and I click on ‘pets’ I want to go to yoursite/pets/ and see an overview of all your pet pages, if that breadcrumb links to yoursite.com/farm-animals/pets I would be confused.

    If you want to change them anyway I think you’ll need to find a filter in your breadcrumb plugin and work from there.
