Change color of ONE link in the menu under the header

Could you please provide a link to your site and let us which link you want to change?

Go to the Dashboard and then to Menu.
Choose the Menu item you want and type in the field “CSS Class” a related class e.g. highlight.
Maybe you have to activate the “CSS Class” Field in options, upper right.

Then add following code to your style.css

.hightlight{
   color: mylightcolor;
}

replace “csshighlightclass” the class added to “CSS Class” Field.
Replace “mylightcolor” to a color of your choice, like “lightgrey” a Hex code e.g #eee

@techievous: motorapa.se – It says T?VLING in the right side of the menu, I want to make that red.

I have enabled the “CSS Class” Field option. I have added:

.highlight{
   color: #d70000;
}

..to the style.css in the editor AND to be sure to my custom CSS plugin.

I wrote in the “CSS Classes”-Field for the wished meny item ‘T?VLINGAR’

Unfortunatley nothing seems to happen!

If I view my source code I have this:

So it gets in there but soemthing isn’t really clickin’… What might be wrong?! Thank you again for your help!

Try this instead:

#access .highlight a {
   color: #d70000;
}

Some excellent advice from julianweiland and stephencottontail.

Another way to do this would be to target the unique menu item class, without needing to add a new “highlight” class in the menu editor. So for example:

#access .menu-item-2386 a {
   color: #d70000;
}

..to the style.css in the editor AND to be sure to my custom CSS plugin.

You shouldn’t ever edit style.css directly as that change will be overwritten the moment you update Forever to the latest version. Adding it to your custom CSS is the right way to go. ??
