Thanks for the great theme btw. Horst

  • You don’t NEED to work off a child theme, but it is best practice (and smart). When the author updates a theme , whatever changes you have made to the parent theme will be lost. Working off a child theme prevents this.

You need to manipulate the CSS to change the text. I have not worked with that theme, and do not have access to your site so I can not tell you what you need to change.

Provide a link and someone may be able to better assist.

Goto Appearance > Themes, then click on customize there. You’ll find plenty options to change colors there.
Changing the font is less trivial, the child theme approach would be better there.

Hello, sorry for getting back late, time flies…Thanks for your replies, I would like to change the colour of the circles in the Spun theme at https://www.kirstenbaartman.nl. Alas it is not possible in the customize option. 2 color settings are changeable only there.

As I am green, and dutch, I’m a wee bit scared to install achild theme as I do not find a good solid – and not too brief – explanation in dutch how to do that. So for now the code in CSS would be welcome and I will dig on for getting a good tutorial in Dutch. Thanks, best, Horst
