Change colour of featured event

I have the same issue, since the last update, I cannot change the highlight color. The calendar ignores all changes. Before the update there were no problem to make changes by the customizer. On the Standard theme (Twenty Sixteen) I have the same issue.

Tried changes given in the above two links as well.
Also modified the css files, and added a custom css file as directed.
Nothing works.

Unfortunately we are aware of this bug and are actively working on a solution. In the meantime, you can use a CSS workaround like the one posted here until this issue has been resolved.

I have add the “.tribe-events-list-widget-events” in the customizer and now it works.

.tribe-events-list .tribe-events-loop .tribe-event-featured, .tribe-events-list-widget-events, .tribe-events-list #tribe-events-day.tribe-events-loop .tribe-event-featured, .type-tribe_events.tribe-events-photo-event.tribe-event-featured .tribe-events-photo-event-wrap, .type-tribe_events.tribe-events-photo-event.tribe-event-featured .tribe-events-photo-event-wrap:hover {
    background-color: #dd3333 !important;
}
