Change Comment box Font color

    I am fairly new to WordPress. My site is https://appletechtalk.com

    I thought this issue was only regarding the bbPress forum but I now see that it also applies in the Comment Box within WordPress, so I suspect it is controlled by WordPress itself.

    The Comment box for blog posts, as well as bbPress entries, uses gray type on a light gray background. It makes it very hard to read.

    I have looked on line and found several suggestion on editing the css and have put several options within the Custom CSS plug-in that is installed but none of them have worked.

    Can someone provide guidance on how I can change the font color in the Comment box to black, and can it be done through the Custom CSS plug-in?

    Just to close the loop on this (in case you are interested), it turned out that there was a major flaw in the theme that I use and as a result, the entire bbPress forum was incorrectly set up. I had built in an extra layer in the forum structure in order to see the forums and that extra layer caused the Oh Bother box to appear, along with a host of other issues.

    A person on the bbPress support site wrote a bbpress.php file that corrected the error in the theme. I had to restructure the forum hierarcy but that corrected the underlying problems and with it the Oh Bother! error messages.

    The css you provided to correct the text color is still working so thank you for that.

    The new php file has revealed an error in another plug in that I use to put a log in/register link at the top and the bottom of the forums but I have posted a note on the plug-in authors site to ask for assistance with that.

    All in all, between your help and the other help I received, I have come a long way. If you take a look at the site now, I think you will see it looks a lot better.
