Change CPT NAME

    Greetings,
    I have to change the name of the ctp from name to list-name, when we make this change we lose all the translations made for these pages, for the translations we use wpml. How can we change the name of the CPT and not lose the translations?

    Hard for me to say, as I suspect all of the translations may be tied to the name/slug field as well, and that’s going to be a question more for WPML support.

    That said, if you’re perhaps renaming just for say URL/permalink reasons, perhaps the better route would be to use the “rewrite slug” setting. That way you keep the original slug and the translations in place, but have the permalink updated. Just an idea for how to get around this, in case WPML doesn’t have advice as well regarding their parts in this.
