I’m new to WP Data Access, and so far am loving it!

Is there a way to change the default database? The project I’m working on has all the relevant data in a remote database separate from the WordPress database. And every time I do something that requires specifying the database, it’s the WordPress database that’s the default (it’s listed before both information_schema and my custom database). I live in fear that I’ll insert something into the WordPress database!

    Any way to change it?

    Thanks

    Hi @donkiely,

We’re happy to know you’re enjoying WP Data Access. ?

You can set the default database per user by navigating to Settings > WP Data Access > Backend > scroll down to the bottom and find Default Database > Click on the button to set for user.

Hope that helps! Let us know if you have more questions.

Great, thanks! I missed that setting, obviously.
