I’m using an email field in my MetFrom to which I’ve set to not required. As soon you start typing in this field an error message shows “Please enter a valid Email address”.

It’s fine that there is an error message is shown. However I like to change the error message to a custom message in my own langue. How you I change the default error message?

  • Hello @rapsak,
    Hope you are doing well.

I can understand your query. Maybe you have applied validation on the Email Field and for that reason, a Warning shows until the validation is completed. Now, In order to change the Warning message, Please check this screenshot and make changes accordingly. I hope it will help.

Let me know if there is anything else that you need help with.

    Best Regards,

    Hi @prosenjitbarman,

Thank you for your reply and suggestion. However validation on the Email Field is turned off (set to None). When validation is set to none, there is no input field on the settings menu to set a custom warning message.

Am I right in assuming there is way to set a custom error message for the email field?

    Hello @rapsak,

I understood which message you are trying to edit. The feature of changing the text that appears when you start typing the email is currently not included in the Metform Plugin.

But, thanks for letting us know about that. We are continuously working on improving our plugin by adding features according to the needs of the users. Since this feature is not available, please add this as a feature request. The link of the Feature Request page of Metform is included on the USEFUL LINKS section of the Plugin Details page.

Let me know if there is anything else that you need help with.

    Best Regards,
    Prosenjit
