    Hi there
Is there a way of changing the default doc permission so that it is accessible to anyone. Sometimes my users forget to change the permissions and no one can then view their uploads

    Hi @sphyffer-

You can see how to do this here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/how-do-i-set-the-default-permissions-for-a-doc/

In your case, you’ll want to use the read setting of anyone.

    Hi
    I’ve added the script https://gist.github.com/dcavins/0f9943c2e2dd506afc58c3b56f8013c8
to my b-customs file as ‘anyone’ but it did not make a difference. Can you please assist?
    Kind regards
    Steven

    Hi @sphyffer,

I can verify that it works on my test installation. (Although I’m not sure it’s needed after all, because I’m fairly sure the default read setting is anyone.)

In any case, I create a new doc, and attach a file to it. Then, in another browser, while not logged in, I view the doc and am able to download the attachment.

Could another plugin be interfering with your permalink handling? Can you view the attachments when logged in as the doc author?

Possibly Paid Membership Pro. That will make sense. All good then!

We wrote an API for your docs plugin, and build IOS and Android apps that feeds the data through to the apps. Resources that are not tagged as ‘anyone’ are not pulling through. Anyway, basically our whole app is powered by your plugin mate. Well done and thank you. Let me know and I will send you a few screen shots. If it weren’t for your plugin I am not sure how we would have made it possible.
