    Hi Ipstenu,

I need to know how to change the default settings of this plugin without admins manually doing it from the wordpress dashboard. Specifically, I need the membership type to be manual: Allow signed in users to join via a widget or the shortcode and the default role, in my case, to be student.

I need to keep admins out of the wordpress backend for UI reasons. Any help with code to change the default settings would be much appreciated.

So … this wasn’t made for that. Sorry. It was specifically made for the need of letting each site make their own choices. I’ve no interest in making it a sitewide setup.

You would probably want to to look into a plugin that lets you set the default settings for ALL plugins on the network like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/yd-wpmu-sitewide-options/

Alternately, you’re welcome to fork the plugin and make it suit your needs.

The YD WPMU Sitewide Options plugin did exactly what I wanted. Thank you
