Change directory without redirecting top-level page

    I have an “Events” Page live on my site that I need to keep.

    I am using the Regex below to change the directory, but it is not working and it is redirecting the “Events” Page. I hope you can help me figure this out. Thank you for your wonderful plugin and awesome support:)

    /events/(.*) => /event/$1
