Hi there, I’ve just installed Delightful Downloads (delightful name) and I am getting too grips with it pretty quickly. What I would like to do is change the name of the file from the default “download’ to giving it a meaningful name that people will understand when it is displayed in a post for example. Is it possible to do this? I can’t seem to find a way to do it but maybe I’m missing something?

    Cheers – Dane

    Dane,

There are two ways you can do this. The first will modify all downloads, the second will modify a single download.

To modify all downloads – In the Delightful Downloads Settings screen under the Shortcodes tab you have the Default Text field. If you change this to %title% it will display the title you entered when you saved the download.

For single downloads – add the text attribute to the ddownload shortcode. Once again you can use the %title% wildcard. For example: [ddownload id="123" text="%title%"]
