Change email associated with www.ads-software.com login

    This is about the login directly to www.ads-software.com; it has nothing to do with my self-hosted WordPress install, nor any plugin or theme.

    I was able to change the email address for this profile in the Edit Profile screen. No email is received to confirm this change. And my previous email address is still accepted to log in to this account.

    I’d like to move that email address to another www.ads-software.com name. Is this not allowed? I do I disassociate my email from lxxiii so I can assign it to another www.ads-software.com account?

    It’s not and there is no need to do that. Multiple accounts are frowned upon here and your login ID isn’t what other people see. You can change your display name via these links.

    But the login ID is what other people see in the URL if they visit my profile. I completely abandoned lxxiii after my legal business name change, and I’m doing that globally, even on www.ads-software.com. I just used a variant on my email address to create a new account. I simply will not be using the lxxiii account any more, since it can’t be deleted or hidden. Sorry if that’s frowned upon, but I don’t like being locked in to a screen name like that.

    I tried to changing my email login for my www.ads-software.com account through profile settings and updated my account. I received a generic email from www.ads-software.com to confirm my new email. I clicked into the link and confirm. Then I logout of my account and logged back in with my new email. www.ads-software.com did not recognize my new email address. I am still able to login with my old email address. Why is this happening?

    Just tried to change my email address in the profile edit screen. After changing it I clicked on the “confirmation” link emailed to me.

    It just returns me to my profile edit page with a notification “There is a pending email address change to [email protected]” which is the confirmation I just clicked on. Nothing changes.
