Change “Events” to “Video Conferences”

Is there a way to change all use of the word “Event” to something else, in our case “Video Conference”? Not just the calendar page title, but the search box, search button, other labels and titles?

I’ve applied this code but it does not seem to work with the 5x version. Suggestions?

(My client has Events Calendar Pro, but I don’t have the capability to receive replies to support tickets and I can’t see a way to add a developer contact address. I recommended Pro with the idea that it would help with this labeling problem, but have I made a mistake?)
