Change excerpt for posts shortcode?

By default the posts shortcode uses the_excerpt() to display posts. However, for many of my posts I use the <!–more–> tag to determine where my posts truncate. Is there any way to change the posts shortcode so that it truncates at <!–more–> instead of the_excerpt()?
