Change excerpt length or show full post?

Hi,

I wanted to see if there is a way to show more of an excerpt on the homepage, or even to show the entire posts? As well is there anyway to include hyperlinks in the excerpt? Im fairly good with php so if you point me in the right direction I should be able to make edits.
