Change fieldgroup of a field leads to loosing data

  • Hi,

    when I change the fieldgroup of a field, the already recorded data doesn’t show up anymore. When I switch the fieldgroup back it shows the data again. How can I move data to the now fieldgroup as well?

    My first thought is maybe the field group you’re moving it to is not visible. (groups can be configured to be visible only to administrators.) You don’t mention if other fields in that group are visible. Take a look at the configuration of the field group.

    Also, if the shortcode is configured to only show some groups, you might be moving it into a group that isn’t visible for that reason.

    sorry, was my mistake. I use a custom template with the groups=”…” and i miss spelled this group there. thanks for the hint!
