Change form action

  • Up to now I have had an html coded form that has an action linking to a perl script page that creates a return email with links to specific files the visitor has requested.
    Unfortunately, this has been targeted by bots. As a result I want to use the Google Captcha facility which is easily added to Contact Form 7.
    What I wish to do is have the same action as my original form, ie. not send an email but go to the .pl page in the cgi-bin, which gathers all the information.
    Is this possible?

  • Maybe you should add captcha to the original form.
    CF7 is designed (as far as I can tell) to send email.
    About your problem, one can intercept the event: wpcf7_before_send_mail generated by contact form 7 and then execute your desired action.. (some coding needed)
