I know I ought to know this, but it’s been so long, I can’t remember where to do it. I redesigned my blog and did the switchover from my live blog last night. Thanks to Jeremy, I got my subscribers to come over with me by disconnecting from WP.com and reconnecting (yay!), but now I have another problem.

My email notices used to be from Basia’s Bookshelf and the subject always started with [New Post] (Name of Post) or if I had a comment, the sender’s name was the commentator’s name and the subject was [Basia’s Bookshelf] Comment: (Name of Post).

Right now, it’s [Wordpress] (Name of Post) and the comments are from the commentator’s name and subject is [] Comment: (Name of Post)

I hope that makes sense. I just want to get it back so that the sender is Basia’s Bookshelf – I remember there was a place to do it before, but I think that was before I had used Jetpack.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Jetpack uses your site title for the Sender information. Could you go to Settings > General in your dashboard, and make sure that the site title is filled in?

If it is, could you go to the Jetpack menu in your dashboard, and disconnect then reconnect to WordPress.com to make sure that your Jetpack settings are also updated to use the correct site title?

Let me know if it helps.

Ah, I knew the title thing was going to mess me up but I wasn’t sure where. When I did my redesign and published it this week, I couldn’t get my title and description to be transparent behind my header for some reason so I’d left it blank until I could get further help from my theme’s author.

I believe I’ve got it now. My theme sure is being funky about my CSS this time around. I didn’t have this issue with the transparent text before the redesign so I wasn’t sure where it would catch me up.

    Thank you so much!!
