Change header background & no sidebar

Hi there!
First of all, this is a fantastic plugin! It looks stunning and has all the functions I was looking for. And all this for free. GREAT!
Unfortunately I have two problems:
1. I would like to change the header background. Right now, I can see the header of my theme, but this causes a bad look. Please have a look:

2. Like others, I don’t see the plugin’s sidebar. I can’t activate it or anything. How come?
3. A suggestion: Please add a register form & please add navigation buttons to go back to the front page.

Oh, and if I get this plugin to work, I’ll translate it (German) and send the files to you! ?? Promise!
