change header on wp-portal template

It may be easier for someone to reply if you provide a link to your site where you are using that theme…we may be able to just look at the source and tell you without needing to download the theme.

inside header.php find this:

remove it.

Whooami – thanks. I did delete this piece of code but it just deletes the term ‘search’ but the box remains. Any other advice?

Yea, the white background for the search field (and the magnifying glass image) is built into the header image. You’ll need to modify that image as well as remove the code to completely remove it. The image is header-orange.jpg

its an image. you use an image editor, like photoshop.

or you make your own image and overwrite whats there.
