Change header, Search form like wordpress site

Did you try out the Search Widget in Dashboard>Appearance>Widgets?

Don’t forget to include link to site on each Thread.

I tried the search form earlier, but, it needs to be in the header, so, may be i need to register a new sidebar for it.

Could you suggest some better ways. I want to change my header completely.
