Change Home Page Post Image Size

Hey Joe,

I’m afraid this is actually a tough customization to make. The issue is fitting the content in while keeping the images at a 2:1 ratio. Here’s what I mean: https://pics.competethemes.com/3Q2z3R1h122N

You can see that if the post is limited to a 2:1 ratio, the content will need adjustment to stay fit within the post.

I’m not sure if this is the design you had in mind, but the full width layout can display the featured images as 2:1 on the blog. This is because the design of the posts on the blog follows the same layout of the post pages.

Actually, you’re altered image above, is pretty much exactly what I want … 2:1 with the same standard alternating post layout of the standard version of Tracks. The only thing I’d want is all the meta to scale into the allotted area. Tightening up the line height might help fit all the info.

I wouldn’t mind paying for it either if that layout were part of the Full Width upgrade. ?? I really do like how the home page posts alternate in the stock Tracks home page — meta left – image right, image left – meta right, etc. It just makes it more visually interesting.

I guess I also wish I could “try” the Full Width upgrade with my content to see if I like it. Though I just may buy it anyway it to see if I like it. — $15.00 won’t kill me. lol Plus you are always so helpful. ??

Actually I will buy Full Width & see how I like it. If you figure out a way to do what I’m asking, even better.

Even though I bought the upgrade I came up with my own solution too:

I cut the excerpt text down to 10 words & changed the title font-size & excerpt-container height. Looks good with 2 line titles too.

	height: 25% !important;

div.excerpt-meta {

}

Seems to be working okay & looks fine on my iPad & iPhone too.
