change index.php ??

Hi,
I have installed wordpress normally, so https://www.domain.com/ will automatically pick up index.php.

Thing is I already have an index.html that I would rather use for the front of the site.

Is there anything I can do within wordpress (except re-installing to different dir) where I can change the default page to something else, or change the name of index.php perhaps. ?
