I am looking to change the text “Read More” when using the shortcode [#item_url] to something else. Is this possible?
Also would like to make the [#item_url] in the External Product link.
For example, currently when the feed is pulled and using [#item_url] the link has the text “Read More”, I want that text to say something else, such as “view product”.
I would also like the [#item_url] to be included in the woocommerce button for the external product link.
    Thank you.

Hello, we are having the same problem. We tried using the code provided in the documentation (“Link read more button within the post description to the initial post source”). However, this only affects the “Read more” links that are automatically inserted by WordPress, not the ones that are pasted into imported posts by using [#item_url]. Is there a way to change those too?

    Hi @staatsbibliothekzuberlin,

In the documentation, the function covers the functionality of showing items via shortcode when content is cached.

If you are using Feedzy to import Widgets and use [#item_url] tag that String is coded in the plugin files and you can change just like you would change strings in your theme. You can use a translation plugin or dedicated plugin to change strings like this one: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/say-what/

    I hope it helps!

    Hi Vytis,
thank you, that helped a lot. We managed to change the link with our translation plugin.

    Best regards

    Hello,

I am also trying to change the “Read More” text that the [#item_url] spits out. Unfortunately, I am unable to find it in the translation files. Can someone give me precise instructions?

    I am using Loco Translate.

It seems like an obvious string to modify – please consider making this a setting! Also, it’s even spelled wrong, as it reads “More”, not “more”. The latter is more correct, as Title Capitalization would not be typical here.
