Change linked post ID for translated CPT

Due to a bug I’m still hunting, I don’t get any drop-down selection box for a posts translation in a “team_member” CPT (created by WooThemes Our Team).

There’s a JS error in the console while editing any one of this CPTs post, which I suspect has to do with jQuery more or less stopping working (no menu popups): TypeError: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'jQuery( '#user_search' ).val().length')

Anyway: is there a suggested alternate way to link one posts translation to a different post ID?

The client was foolish enough to use “Duplicate Post” on translated team CPT posts, and now Polylang links are all over the place.
