I messed up something with “Change login URL”.
At first I changed URL to be something different than default “wp-admin”, but now I was testing something on the site and removed that word I was using and put back default “wp-admin”.

The problem now is when I use “wp-admin” and enter username and pass I can’t login to dashboard anymore for whatever reason.
It just reloades page and does nothing.
The only way I can login to dashbord is if I delete this plugin, and since I can’t login to dashboard, the only way to do that is through file manager in cPanel and delete “Admin and Site Enhancements” folder from “plugin” folder.

Then if I install this plugin again, as soon as I click “Activate” it logs me out from dashboard back to the login screen and I’m again stuck at the begining, not able to login.

So obviously something is messed up in the background, so I would like to know how can I delete this plugin completely with no leftovers, so that I can do clean fresh install from scratch since it obviously have some settings left somewhere and remembers them if I delete and install plugin.

    Tnx

Once you delete ASE plugin folder and log back in to wp-admin, please install SQL Buddy plugin and select wp_options table. Then look for option that contains ‘admin_site_enhancements’. There should be three of them. You can delete all three to start fresh.

By the way, no need to put ‘wp-admin’ in the Change Login URL module if you want to revert back to the default login URL. Simply disable that module, and you should be OK.

Unfortunatelly I don’t have that ‘admin_site_enhancements’ option under wp_options table.
    Here’s screenshot.

Is there any other way that I can delete all leftovers from this plugin?

    Tnx

Ok, now I tried to replicate this issue on another website and the same thing happened.
What I did is in Change URL section entered “wp-admin”.
Then when I log out and try to log in again with same pass and user the page just reloads and wont enter dashboard.
So I guess there’s some bug if you enter “wp-admin” there to change URL.
(I know wp-admin is default one so there’s no need to enter anything, but now I can’t change that cause I can’t enter dashboard anymore.)
The only solution now for both pages to login to dashboard is if I delete ?“Admin and Site Enhancements” folder from “plugin” folder.

Please is there solution to fix this. Bassicaly now I can’t use this plugin for these 2 sites anymore until I fix this issue.
You can try and replicate the same thing on your side and see if it’s the same for you

You need to click on the filter icon next to the eye icon and look for the ASE options like shown here: https://www.imagebam.com/view/MERKW47 then click and delete each.

    Tnx, it works now!
But in case that somone else get stuck with the same issue maybe try to fix that “bug” in the next update.

    Btw plugin is fantastic.

Also changing the url doesn’t change it but redirect you, what I use is hide my login to change because I find redirecting less secure.

@pressthemes1 yes, ASE uses a redirect to the default login URL wp-login.php with the custom slug appended to it, e.g. /wp-login.php?customslug. If you prefer Hide My Login, where the login URL is actually your custom slug without wp-login.php, please use that instead. You can still use other ASE modules along with it.

There was a recent bug discovered where the login page might reload endlessly under certain scenario, preventing login. It has been fixed in v6.9.2. I assume it also fixes the original issue reported here, so, marking this thread resolved for now.
