    Hello,

I have a question when creating a player. How can I change the nationality for example from “Germany” to “German”?

    Thanks a lot

    Hi!

    Thanks for reaching out.

You can change the strings by editing the .po and .mo files, or using a plugin such as Loco Translate.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    thanks for the answer @rochesterj.
But where are the .po and .mo files and how can I edit the files?

    Best regards

    Hi Emre,

    Thanks for your reply.

We use the default locations for these files, /languages.

You can read more about translation in general here:
    https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-translate-a-wordpress-plugin-in-your-language/

    Thanks!

Instead of Nationality for youth basketball we’d rather use the players middle or High school name. I went into the text settings and changed nationality to school but obviously if it is using the translation files I don’t want to go and add the school names to the list, or can I?

I tried to put it in the metrics section as in your tutorial I tried class of for graduating year like the tutorial but WordPress crashes with a critical error everytime I try to add any metric. So how can I add player detail of school and metric of graduating class?

    Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out. Please keep in mind that it’s much better to open new topics for new issues otherwise it gets too confusing (and this one is set as resolved already).

You have 2 issues there, so I recommend you creating 2 topics.

The first one, you can use the translations if you want, or maybe metrics.

The second one, it depends on the error you see. Please send us more details in a new topic.

    Thanks!
