Change numer of events showing in category

  • Hello – sorry if this is a basic question – I am very new to using coding and am just figuring it our as I go along!

    I want to take off the limit of 10 event, so that all of my events show under a given category, and I can see from searching the forum that there is some shortcode I can use:
    [eo_events numberposts=-1 showpastevents=true]

    …but where does this shortcode need to go exactly (in very simple terms please!!)?

    You can place that shortcode in any page or post.

    However, if you mean the ‘category page’, typically accessible at yoursite.com/events/category/category-slug then you would need a few lines of code to set the number of events displayed – that page is not generated by a shortcode.
