Change on schema markup
-
Hi,
I have been getting a lot of error on Google Search Console on the pages of my website in which I have displayed a view with Testimonials. Basically, I get a message “Either ‘offers’, ‘review’ or ‘aggregateRating’ should be specified”. I have been getting this message since Google November update, which included new error detection on product schema.
I know that the plugin generates schema markup. I use version 2.26.9 with the Review Markup extension. I have two questions :
– Are these error linked to Google update, and so should I wait for a fix on the extension ? (Maybe the fix is available in the new version ?)
– If the errors are not linked to the extension by itself but to the page the markup is being inserted on (which I suspect, because the problem doesn’t affect some pages), does deactivating the review markup option on the Testimonials views will update the existing views and remove the markup code ?I hope I am clear enough, sorry I am not a native speaker and certainly not an expert. I’d be happy to clarify if needed.
Thanks !
