    Hi all,

I spent a while now trying to find out how to change the order of my pages in the sidebar.

i tried the intuitive way through the admin page by giving the pages a order number.
When that didn’t work I tried to change the php in the sidebar.php. Still no luck.

When searching the forum I found the docu and https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/359127?replies=8 which confirmed what i should do. but why is my page order simply not updating? It is still sorting aphabetically.

I am using the default theme

Thanks for your help – I’m starting to grow grey hair…

    Hey betts,
It’s usually done, if you go to Admin page < Pages. Click “quick edit” and play with the number of “order” here is the screenshot. The first in the list should be 0,1,2 etc, but i always do, 0, 10, 20 etc in case i want to insert other pages in the future ?? I hope this help.
    I like your blog’s background.

That’s a highly customized version of the WordPress Default theme.

Are you using widgets to display pages or using code in your sidebar.php? If code, then paste your complete sidebar.php code at https://wordpress.pastebin.com and report the link back here.

If you are using any plugins that affect pages please report what plugins you are using.

    Hi all,

    thanks for your replies!!

    @kim09 unfortunately, that doesn’t work

@michaelh I am using the widget. Can I report that anywhere?

@shane G. I installed the plugin but this error came up when I activated the plugin:

Fatal error: Class ‘WP_Widget’ not found in C:\HostingSpaces\betts.com.au\blog.betts.com.au\wwwroot\wp-content\plugins\my-page-order\mypageorder.php on line 217

    Any ideas?

    Thanks so much again!
