Change php version = blank page (only with Hueman)

  • Hello,
    I’m using Hueman Theme for a long time for my site. Due to a plugin requirement, i’m trying to upgrade my hosting from php 5.2 to php 5.6.
    After several try, i’m always getting to blank page (frontend and backend) as soon as i switch php version.
    After desabling all plugins and switch to a standard twenty* theme, i’m able to upgrade php version. Then i’ve reactivate all my plugins, it’s OK.

    After, when i switch back from twenty* to Hueman theme, blank page again.
    I’ve also tried to switch from my Hueman child theme to the parent theme. Then tried to delete and download Hueman theme again. Always blank page.

    My firth conclusion is that Hueman theme is incompatible with php 5.6, but due to the popularity oh this theme, this seems to me not possible.

    the theme works fine here with php 5.6.30.
    Did you try to enable the wp debug mode?

    I can also specify that even when I “preview” the hueman theme, I have a blank page in the right part

    Hi, we are still not able to replicate the problem.
    I would help to know the php error message that is printed.

    I don’t get any php error on the screen that I preview or activate the hueman theme, only a blank screen (i’ve put DEBUG=true in wp-config.php)
    When i switch to customizr or others themes, everything is ok.
    I have a dev site with hueman too and i don’t have problem on that one.
    I’ve already reinstall WP4.8 and delete/add again Hueman, nothing works.
    Now i’am in php 7, but pb is the same 5.6/7

    I have the same issue, and believe it is related to the one raised by Guru (@jafaloo) about the Customizer never loading. In my case, I decided to upgrade to PHP 7 and WordPress 8.1. Hueman was my development theme all along. I upgraded my plugins and all themes (except Members, which wanted a newer version of PHP), and then began the process. First, I tried out the upgrades on a skeletal site in xampp on my desktop, and everything went through fine. Then I tried on my development site, after first using the php compatibility checker plugin. It reported all fine with Hueman and the Addons; I disabled 2 items that had errors. Then I tried the update and got my first whitescreen. I brought the site toa previous php version (5.2), tried the 2017 theme, upgraded Members, and tried the site It was up in PHP 7.0.12.
    Then back to Hueman, and whitescreen again. Several other browsers work with my configuration; only Hueman fails to load.
    I have to wonder if it is fault of the latest revision (3.3.20). How can I go back a revision to test my theory? I was fine in 3.3.18, but that was under php5.2.
