Change Placeholder Text

  • Hello,
    I’m using this plugin to allow people to enter a dollar amount to make a donation.
    I would like to either add a ‘$’ to the left of the field or change the placeholder to ‘$’. It would be even better if the dollar sign could stay there as the person enters the amount so that it looks like “$25”.

    Can you please tell me how I can accomplish both of these solutions.

    The documentation didn’t help.
    I’d like to change the placeholder text for usability purposes and/or I’d like to be able to add a dollar sign to the left of the field.
    Is there a way I can do this via functions.php?
