    Hello!

I want to be able to change the order of a certain product category but as far as I can tell I can only change the order for all product categories at the same time. Is there no way to have category-specific settings?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi @isabella92

    Thanks for reaching out!

I apologize but I am quite confused with your end goal here.

Can you please provide further details on what are you trying to achieve on your site so that we could address you more effectively?

If a screenshot would be helpful, I’d recommend using https://snipboard.io or https://skitch.com/. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

    Hello!

    Let me clarify.
As an example, I want all my products in the category “charcoal grills” to be organized by “popularity”.

At the same time, I would also like all the products in the category “bbq accessories” to be organized by “latest added products”.

I can go to my Woocommerce settings – Product catalogue and change the default setting for how products should be organized, BUT if I make a change here, it applies to ALL product catagories, which is not what I want.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi there @isabella92 ??

At the same time, I would also like all the products in the category “bbq accessories” to be organized by “latest added products”.

I suggest you look into WooCommerce Blocks, as it will enable a flexible way for displaying the products of each category.

The Products by Category block, among the ones that come with it, has suitable features for your case, as is shown in the screenshot directly linked here.

    I hope that helps!

Thank you for your help! I was hoping I wouldn’t have to download a plugin but it seems to be the only way to acheive this ??

    Thanks!

    You are welcome @isabella92 ??

Kindly note that plugins are not necessarily “evil”. They extend the functionality of a given WordPress site and, as with everything, if they come from a reliable source and do not conflict with one another (chosen with care), they do wonders.
