    Hello,

I’m using Woocommerce with the best commerce wordpress theme.
I use the widget (provided by woocommerce?) to add attribut search field to let user filter products by attributes.

In the attribute input search field (seems to be the select2-search__field class), when no attribute is selected, the placehoder french text translation doesn’t really match attribute gender (female or male term).

I’d like to be able to change the translation to force a more generic term that does not depend on the attribute gender, but I can’t find the translation term anywhere, whether in .po file or in .js or .php file.

Is there any way I can do this?

Thanks in advance for any answer or idea.

    Hi there,

We recommend using a free translation plugin like?Loco translate in order to change both translated terms to a single one that doesn’t depend on the gender.

Here’s what you’ll need to do once you’ve installed and activated the plugin:
    1. From the administration sidebar, click on “Loco translate” option and click on “Plugins”.
    2. Select the WooCommerce plugin from the list.
    3. Choose the option “New Language”.
    4. Select the current language for your site (if you’re using an English version of WordPress, use English, etc.)
    5. Find the strings that you want to change with the filter box.
    6. In the second box on the left, add your replacement texts.
    7. Save your changes and reload your site.

Here’s a video about it that outlines how it is used:?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUPhsoUm-QE

    I hope this helps!

    Well, I already use Locotranslate.
And that was the problem: I didn’t find the term needed in the text source of Woocommerce using the search field, the result of the search given no such source term…

What is surprising is that I’ve just retried the search, and now the term is found (???).
So I’ve been able to finally changed it!!!

Thanks Anyhow for your answer because it forced me to try one more time and then I got it work. Strange by the way but it’s ok now!!!!
