Change ‘ShareThis’ Icon Color?

  • Does anyone know how to change the color of the sharethis icon? It’s typically green. I’d like to change it to gray or dark gray.

  • Nope, can’t find a way, but I’m still searching for one. It’d be nice if they at least gave us a choice from a few colors.

    Just make the icon look how you want it to, save it to the images folder in your theme and then add this line to your stylesheet. The file name is irrelevant, just make sure you call it correctly in your stylesheet.

    a.stico_default {background-image: url(images/share-this.gif) !important;}

    Here is a link to the vector version of the icon. You can change the colors as you see fit and introduce it and follow pete_cnp’s suggestion on overriding the location of the image via css.

    I’m trying to adjust the position of the share this icon. I just want to lower it a bit. Can I use my css stylesheet and “a.stico_default” to change the position of the icon. I’ve been struggling with this. I know you can style the text easlily with “.stbuttontext”

    If this is possible, any ideas on what the css would be to bring the icon down 3 pixels? Thanks for any suggestions.
