• I have downloaded the Google fonts plugin, and I love it, but I can’t see how to change my site title and description using the plugin. I visited the Google Fonts site, and it says that I should include a link like this one:

    <link href=’https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Prosto+One&#8217; rel=’stylesheet’ type=’text/css’>

    to my website, then access the font with CSS. Well, this is WordPress. I don’t know how to put this link in the Header tag, because it is generated with PHP, and I am no coder. Can anyone tell me how to use Google Fonts to change the Site-Title and Description of my website?

  • Hi Barry,

    Which Google Fonts plugin are you using?

    Typically, to add links to external stylesheets and scripts; a lot of people use a plugin such as Scripts and Styles.

    This plugin will allow you to add the link to Google in the header of each page… and then you can use the CSS feature of it to target the site title and description.

    Josh,

    The app is simply called Google Fonts. It will add fonts to everything below the title of the post. I also can’t add these fonts to my site-title and description. I can’t format the these other tags except through CSS using fonts that may or may not be on everybody’s computer, so that if someone browses to my page, and they don’t have the font, it will default to another font, and ultimately sans serif.

    I will try to find Scripts and Styles and see if that works using Google Fonts. There is also Use Any Font, but that’s not free, although $10 isn’t bad at all. Thanks for your input.

    Barry
