• Hi,

    I’ve just installed WordPress and i have a problem with resizing images.
    I’ve uploaded and inserted an image in a page. After that i tried to resize the picture by changing the siz in HTML or by move the corners of the picture.

    When i size the file the image is still displayed in his orginal size.

    What can be the problem?

    Best regards,
    Joost Lauwen

  • You should choose an image size via Add Media before inserting the image in your page or post.

    Thanks for your reply.

    Is it not possible to change this afterwards via the WSYSIWYG? This should be easier if you don’t know the exact size of the image.

    No – that’s not that way HTML is supposed to work. The available image sizes are clearly shown in the Size dropdown on the Add Media page once you have clicked on an image.

    So it is not possible to change it in the HTML code like below?

    <img alt="DSC01091" src="....../wp-content/uploads/2013/10/DSC01091.jpg" width="10" height="10" />

    I’ve been testing with Joomla, Drupal, etc and they had all those features, which is must easier.

    So it is not possible to change it in the HTML code like below?

    Correct.
