change size of social svg images in secondary menu

I want to make the svg social icons in the secondary menu of the Twenty Twenty-One theme bigger. I’ve tried changing all of the “24” references to 50 in both the class-twenty-twenty-one-svg-icons.php file and the menu-functions.php file. I even tried deleting the code altogether from menu-functions.php file so that I could just insert my own images. I’ve also tried editing the width and height through css. None of that seems to work.

Any ideas on how to make this change?

* Note that I don’t have the secondary menu active right now and the social icons currently on the homepage were added as simple image blocks.
