Why does it need to be a regular expression? A plain redirect would be better.

You can use a search/replace tool like Search Regex https://searchregex.com/

Thanks John. I am completely new to the plugin and not sure what you mean by regular expression vs. plain expression. Should I use the Search Regex for redirection or use Redirection with Search Regex? Sorry if I sound slow, but like I said, I only just started using the redirection plugin a few days ago. It’s hard to find a good article that explains things well and I don’t want to break anything due to not understanding basic concepts.

You said you were creating the redirect as a regex – regular expression. It doesn’t seem that it needs to be one, and you would be better not to use them unless necessary.

You would use Redirection to perform redirects. You would use Search Regex to search and update the links in your posts.
