Change Sort Order of Events on My Events page

  • How can I change the Sort Order of Events on My Events page? Currently, it is Ascending which makes my latest at the bottom and the UX is not good. I believe the best practice would be the newest first and good to have control if user wants to set it to Ascending or Descending.

    Hi Aan,

    Thank you your using my free widget plugin.

    In terms of the plugin ( I’m assuming you are using it on your ‘My Events Page’ as you haven’t given a link so I can’t check ) it lists the events in ascending start date order.

    This is the best UX for the majority of users, let us imagine you have 3 events, one next month, one in three months and one in 6 months, then most user would like the next even i.e. the one next month, at the top of the list.

    Obviously different users have different requirements, so the Pro version of the plugin has full control over sort sequence, allowing you to sort ascending or descending on start date and created date – in some industries having the newest added event at the top of the list is desirable.
