change space above heading in post?

Please provide a link to your site. Also, you will want to either install a custom CSS plugin or make a Child Theme so you can add some custom CSS without worrying about losing your changes during future theme updates.

For consistency, it would be best to change that space throughout the entire site, not just on Posts. To do that, add this to your Custom CSS plugin or Child Theme’s style sheet:

.site-header: {
padding-bottom: 0.25rem;
}

You can adjust that value (0.25rem) as you like to get the right spacing. In case you are wondering what sort of unit a rem is, here’s some more info:
