    Hi Guys,
I have researched till my brains ache on this but no answers. When an order is placed, an email goes to the admin alerting them. At the same time an email goes to the customer thanking them for the order.
I have successfully sought out a filter to change the title of the email which goes to the admin thanks to searching the forum. BUT the email that goes to the customer thanking them is not affected. There seems to be no way to alter the email to the customer from the dashboard (the template only affects the email to the admin) – so is it possible to change the subject (add the order number and name) for the email that thanks the customer?
Please help me out here, I am drowning!

  • Hey @redlid,

Tracking all of these down can be a bit tricky. There is a page in the documentation that lists the available filters you can use with WooCommerce email subjects.

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/change-email-subject-lines/

Depending on the status, the email sent to the customer could use any of these three:

    woocommerce_email_subject_customer_processing_order
    woocommerce_email_subject_customer_completed_order
    woocommerce_email_subject_customer_invoice

You may need to apply the function you create to all of these to have it catch your use cases.

I hope that gets you pointed in the right direction.

    Cheers
