    Hi there,

Quite new to word press and seem to be doing ok but stuck on a couple of things…

    my site is https://www.dianejessiemiller.co.uk

    1) how do I change the colour of my tagline? I’ve looked at many tutorials, videos and discussions, but maybe i’m missing something… I’ve gone to style CSS and looked for colour # in the H2 section, but can’t see which one it is I need to change… I’ve tried changing a couple of the colour codes (always resetting after) but with no joy…

    2) From the computer on the blog, if you click “read more” it takes me back to my “About” page… no idea why. This also happens if the site is visited from a mobile phone…

If any can help and put it in layman’s terms I’d be very grateful…

    Thanks in advance ??

ok. and also can you got to settings > permalinks and tell me which button is ticked?

and what are the settings you have chosen for settings > reading ?

The button ticked is “Custom Structure”

    Setting on reading are:
    – A static page
    – Front page welcome
    – Post page: blog
    – Articles in feed: Summary

what is in the ‘custom structure’ field?

In the box it says “/about”.

So the whole link reads https://www.dianejessiemiller.co.uk/about

ok. That may be the problem. Tick the ‘Post name’ button. Then in the ‘Custom Structure’ box it will then read /%postname%/

That should take care of your issue. Thank you for going back and forth with me about this. I searched high and low in the theme files and could find no reason why it would be causing you that issue. Turns out it was a simple setting in your admin section.

Please let me know when you change the permalink setting and if that corrects your issue.

Oh my goodness… you are genius!! That’s even sorted the navigation problem I was having with accessing the website from mobile devices!! Thank you sooooo much for your patiences with me!

I’m new to wordpress, so most of this is foreign to me. I’ve watched loads of tutorials but just couldn’t figure those two things out ??

Thank you, thank you, a 1000 times thank you ??

    you are very welcome
