Hi @alexcc1 – could you please provide specific steps for how to reach the type of page seen in your screenshot?

I’m not finding it anywhere in the Media Library on my test site running Twenty Twenty-Two – and that doesn’t look like the block editor – so some guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

First is to remove Post featured image block from the template
    Single Post (No Separators).

Then go to Media Library, select image, and edit more details.

    @alexcc1 Gotcha, thanks!

As far as I know, there’s no built-in mechanism in WordPress to bulk-edit media information on those “Edit more details” pages without a plugin, or without going into the database.

I’ve taken a peek in the plugin repo and haven’t yet found a specific plugin that does what you’re looking for, but you might try asking in a more general forum like this one: https://www.ads-software.com/support/forum/miscellaneous/

I did find and test this plugin, but it looks like the bulk-edit feature may only be available with the Pro version. If the feature is important to you, you could always try asking the developer to be 100% sure it would do what you want:

    Hi,

Rather than changing the template for each image …

Why not create an attachment.html template (or $mimetype-$subtype.html) …. ?

Using the right attachment template name will force all matching images to use that template for the media page.

I have followed your advice @domainsupport

I created a template attachment.html and clicking on any image redirects to attachment.html but not load the image.

The attachment.html was customized as a single-post from the site edit.

Also created attachment.php and the image loads on a blank page, I added a code from this help post.

    https://developer.www.ads-software.com/themes/template-files-section/attachment-template-files/

I don’t think that post is for FSE.

With FSE, the themes templates are “.html” so don’t try to use “.php”.

When you customise a theme template, the customisation is stored in the database. There are plugins that use this to allow you to add new templates into the database that are not currently available in the theme.

Usually this would require a child theme but it’s not necessary.

I believe that this functionality of managing FSE templates is coming soon in WordPress core but for now you will need to use a plug-in or a child theme.
