@sottovoce – Are you referring to your theme’s page template … or something else?

The shortcode you are referencing is from NextGEN Legacy and not used as part of any “template” we bundle with NextGEN Gallery.

    Thanks!

    I’m sorry, I wasn’t clear enough.

I have my galleries organized this way: Each gallery has it’s own page which I create using the “add page” button from Manage Gallery section. When some gallery is used inside a post, clicking an image takes you to the previously created page, to be able to see all the images.

The problem is that the “add page” button creates all the pages using the same standard template (shortcode), and I would like to assign my own. is it possible to change that?

    Thanks a lot.

@sottovoce – Thanks for the clarification on that … I believe I understand what you are referring to now.

Although we do not support or recommend modifying the plugin’s core code you could look at this reference point: wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/ngglegacy/admin/manage.php:843

I’ll see if we can also add a filter into that space so this can be over-ridden more safely going forward as I like the idea of “choosing” a shortcode as well.

    Cais,
That was exactly what I was looking for. I modified manage.php and now It’s working the way I wanted.

Although, I have to take in consideration that the file could de overwritten on new updates. It would be a great addition to be able to chose that from the admin menu.

    Thank you for your help.

@sottovoce – I suspect the next release will obviously over-write your modifications but I also expect we will have a filter in place where you can safely over-ride this as well.

Look for ngg_add_page_shortcode as the filter handle in the next release (or something very similar).

    Thanks!

Hi, I missed 1.6.8.2 update, and now I would like to get the latest version. Is this hack still available on 1.6.8.3 ?

    Thank you in advance.

I’m sorry, wrong plugin. I mean, I’m using V2.1.7 , I missed V2.1.9, and I would like to get V2.1.10 working. Thank you for your help.

@sottovoce – Yes, that hook is in the current releases of NextGEN Gallery.

    Thanks!
