Change text at top of home page

    My home page is set to display my blog posts. At the top of the page it says Blog with a line separator underneath. I want to remove the word “Blog” and instead display some other text that tells the user about the site.

    I have the Jobify theme and child theme from themeforest.

    I have tried changing the Page title and tried changing the navigation title in the menu, but ‘Blog’ still appears. I have searched through the forum topics and can’t find anything that deals with this specifically.

  • Hi,

    If you go into ‘Settings > Reading’ what is the home page set as? and what is the posts page set to?

    Also, since your theme is a premium theme purchased off of theme forest, the only people that can help you is the jobify support team. We don’t support premium themes here in the forums.

    Hi Evan,

    You solved my problem! Settings > Reading was set to Display Blog posts. I tried changing it to the Static Page option, then selected the Post Page for my static page. Once I did that, I could simply change my blog page title and it worked. Light bulb!

    Thanks Adam. Good point. I need to re-register because my initial 6 month support recently expired. The team at Astoundify has been terrific and I was very grateful for your support as I was getting started with Jobify. I’m making a pretty major shift in my vision for how I want my site to help people, so I have plenty of questions. And, it’s surprising, but there is still so much to learn about everything that the theme can do.
